Jhoana Louis Alilin
Partnership Building Officer
Jhoana recently graduated Magna Cum Laude under the BA in Communication Arts program at Ateneo de Davao University. She is an active student leader, writer, and sports enthusiast. She brings to IDIS her strong background in communication and advocacy work honed back when she frontline in several environmental campaigns in AdDU, such as the Tayo Tayo para sa Tampakan and EcoSummit 2020.
As a child, Jhoana used to play under the shade of the trees, take a bath in the lining (bigger than a canal that supplies water to the rice field), and chit-chat with other children. This inspires her to do more in advocating for a healthy environment as she wants the future generation to experience the usual activities that she enjoys outdoors.
During her college years, she maximized every opportunity where she could utilize her passion and skills for environmental causes. She participated in tree growing activities, clean-up drives, and organized online environmental forums and dialogues.
She envisions on becoming an environmental lawyer someday. Jhoana is excited to meet new people, engage and connect the IDIS’s ideologies and be one of the proponents in bridging organizations for environmental causes.
