In celebration of World Wetlands Day, the Interfacing Development Interventions for Sustainability (IDIS) Inc. together with community volunteers conducted a clean-up drive and brand audit on the wetlands of Gravahan, Matina, and Bucana last February 5, 2021.
During the clean-up drive, a total of 575 pieces of different types of solid wastes such as plastics, cans, bottles, face masks, and styrofoams were collected. Most of it were plastic bottles, food packaging, and plastic bags – all were single-use plastics.
