Last year, Juice Cubi-Roxas Avenue Davao, a Davao-based Milk Tea Shop, celebrated the collaboration song of BTS and Coldplay – My Universe through an event-for-a-cause in partnership with the Interfacing Development Interventions for Sustainability (IDIS) and Davao City Bantay Bukid Volunteers. They adopted a riverbank at Panigan-Tamugan Watershed located in Baguio District.
The Cupsleeve Event, an event to celebrate the Kpop Idols, aims to gather resources to plant thousands of trees at their adopted site to help preserve and protect the watershed. For every bundle purchased, one native seedling will be bought and planted in the watershed.
On Saturday, Juice Cubi and their volunteers conducted a tree planting activity where they bought 1,000 native seedlings from the Bantay Bukid nursery and committed to having shared responsibilities to ensure the planted trees’ survival. They also donated twenty-five sacks of 5 kilograms of rice to the Bantay Bukid Volunteers.
The Bantay Bukid and IDIS expressed their gratitude to Juice Cubi for this initiative. Both the organizations are hopeful that more individuals and establishments will partake in efforts to protect our next source of drinking water.
